Robyn Rihanna, better called Rihanna in Barbados is an Barbadian musician and singer who has given us hits songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular artist who has sold over 41 million albums across the globe and more than 150 million songs. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae and started singing when she was quite young. After being disturbed by the turbulent nature of her household life, and her constant fights with her father, she became immersed in music. Soon after, she realized she was destined to become an accomplished professional. When she was in high-school when she started forming group and performed at the auditions for Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was impressed by her talent. His request was that she be relocated to New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna was thrilled to accept. Rihanna's debut album soon became a hit and she was hailed as a music sensation. Rihanna's peppy songs were the most popular among young people, motivating her into film. She's a young, talented woman who has become her own style icon as well as a teenager icon. Rihanna also puts her fame to good use, and is active in a variety of charities.
