LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30th, 1984) was an American professional basketball player playing for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is known as King James and is considered as one of the top basketball players to ever play. James has won four NBA championships and four NBA MVP award four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is one of the NBA All-Stars with the highest number of playoff points. He also has having the second-highest career point total, and seventh-highest all-time assist record. James is part of the NBA All-Stars in addition to 18 All NBA Teams. He also has five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. James has been a part of 10 NBA Finals the third most throughout his career, which includes eight straight times between 2011 and 2018. In 2021 James was selected to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first basketball player in NBA history to have accumulated 10,000 or more points over the course of his career as well as assists. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a future NBA superstar. He was a prep-to-pro player, and was selected by Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of the 2003 NBA draft. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year he soon established himself as one of the NBA's top players winning the NBA MVP award in 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to win the championship in Cleveland in 2010, left as a free agent and joined his team the Miami Heat. This was revealed in The Decision. It is one of the most controversial moves taken by a free agent in history.
